Gearing up for Kirkcudbright Arts and Crafts Trail
Wednesday, 25 July 2018 13:47
It’s that time of year again, when I start keeping some unusual hours at the gallery whilst trying to get enough stock together for the delight that is Kirkcudbright Arts and Crafts Trail (KACT).
KACT is a bit of a busman’s holiday for me because although Cloud 9 is closed, I’m working right through the weekend! It just looks as if I’m not. This year our caravan and awning set up has been exchanged for a motorhome and market stall affair, the finer details of which I’m still working out. Suffice it to say that I will be at the harbour, at venue 6 - on the grass next to the stage, from Thursday afternoon to Monday evening. Look out for the purple tent!
This year I will be displaying some new work and also some new Julie Hollis artwork merchandising that no one has seen yet, just me and my lovely friend (and small business owner) Clare who is making these up for me! I’m not going to spoil the surprise, so if you want to see them all you’ll have to come to Kirkcudbright!
I will, of course, share photos from the event as it happens. I might even Go Live!
You can download a copy of the trail brochure from the link at the top. There will be around 100 artists, makers and crafters displaying their talents in venues across the town. It’s a lovely award winning event to be part of and attend; all testiment to the organisers Pauline & Colin Saul and Vivian Dania.
